In Soviet Russia, Revolution Joins YOU!
Dec. 23rd, 2005 01:02 amIt is totally one am. Third night of insomnia. Of course the fact that I keep sleeping until midday might have something to do with it.
I successfully outmanouvred my mother and avoided going to the Art Gallery OF DETH today. I did so by refusing to get out of bed until she gave up and wandered off. Sadly these kind of tactics work on my mother.
Tonight (technically last night) she told me Back in Soviet Russia stories. You know, "My friends cat was thrown off the eightth story by anti-semites", that kind of thing. Also, apparantly her grandmother had a Communist revolutionary teacher back in 1914 (before the cool kids were doing it!) and he organised a classroom strike (which, for no readily apparant reason, involved a human pyramid).
Ah, family history. All your daily WTF needs in one gene pool.

Date: 2005-12-22 07:37 am (UTC)But it was really a weird thing to just inject into normal conversation. It made the rest of us...uncomfortable? Bewildered?
It was just an awkward, surreal situation. And she did this a lot.

Date: 2005-12-22 06:52 am (UTC)As for the human pyramid, um... I've got it! It was probably something to demonstrate how the weight of the few is supported on the shoulders of the many, and thus, the bottom tier should revolt. See, I'm so smart! ...okay, I'm just making shit up, but it sounds plausible!

Date: 2005-12-23 02:51 am (UTC)But argh I am planning a 3 day trip to Paris with my mum and she's like "no art galleries thank yooooouuuu" but this is okay because it means more time for shopping (with money that is not mine >_< oooh my first funny face!!). But seriously for the last week I've been thinking "omg London...galleries..."
I love BiSR stories. Although I prefer them when they involve me...so really they are more like TMAMAaB (tell me about me as a baby) stories =D
