My parents dragged me out to the Chanukkah thing at Double Bay (or somewhere) yesterday. I've decided I don't actually have anything against the Jewish community as long as it's out-doors. There was fairyfloss, and really bad sausage burgers, and a torch-juggling comedian who was so shite it was hilarious. I ran into Avi's family (minus Avi, who is still grounded *eyeroll*) and Tenielle. I kept thinking I saw people from Mount Sinai, but on closer inspection they were complete strangers. I did see the Smith twins while I was in the queue for my really shitty sausage burger, though - and OMGWTFBBQ has Dan had a growth spurt or three. If he hadn't been standing next to Kim I wouldn't have recognised him.

There were fireworks, which created an inordinate amount of smoke, and a complete random started a conversation with me as I waited for my dad to bring the car around. My great-aunt showed up and gave my brother a stuffed tiger toy twice his size.
