Two Weeks Notice

I shouldn't be surprised, really, given that I'm totally incompetent. Agatha said I have two weeks to shape up or ship out. I think I'll go with option b - there has to be a less stressful job around. Maybe somewhere not in eastgardens, so there aren't so many people around, it's not so busy. Also less staff to get ticked off at me for being too slow or mishearing instructions. I am getting the hang of things, just not fast enough for a place like that - they need to have everyone working well or get someone who can work better. Some place more sedate, where I can take time to learn things properly. And not get yelled at for inefficient mopping while up to my elbows in soapsuds because I'm too slow with the customers. And less exhausting. A video place, maybe, less variety, simpler, I'd learn faster. I mean, for a first job, I can't be expected to pick everything up just like that.

Or maybe i'm just not cut out for this whole "work" business. Now there's a depressing thought. Maybe Shelly's right and I'm gonna end up living in garbage cans.

Don't take my word for is, as I've never actually had a job myself, but I don't think one experience is an omen of what's to come; I'm sure you could operate perfectly well somewhere that isn't a food service in a place where such businesses are constantly ridiculously busy :P
