It just occurred to me that my journal entries have steadily declined in personalness. I suppose it's because I've realised that PEOPLE I KNOW actually READ this stuff, god knows why. I mean, how do you write what you think about someone who'll read it the next day? That's a way to lose friends, especially since "What I really think" changes from week to week, or from minute to minute on really bad days.

I mean, it hasn't been all that much of a problem yet - I haven't had anything major to hide like, having a crush on someone who's likely to read this or hear about it thru friends, but it's only a matter of time, what with teenage hormones and shit, or if not that something major is going to happen and I'll be tactless about it. I've been lucky so far. Only minor things, but that won't last forever. This is fucking pointless, you know? I'd be better off keeping a diary.

Well, whatever, I guess I'll just keep writing pointless shit.

Oh, but this is so much more fun than a diary! :P

I never have written anything personal in my livejournal. In fact, I've never actually written down anything personal, through any medium, ever. Because if it's there, someone could read it, whether online or not. And if it's something I care if people read, it's likely something I don't need or want to write down anyway. There's always friends to talk to if I need to spew something. Or artistic expression, if it comes to it.

Yeah, I know, I do all my actual therapy in my head, really. Diaries are just so I don't forget wat happened and when, because my sense of time is somewhat skewed. Still, it seems a bit ironic, that this is called a livejournal, and really it's just a way to have meaningless conversations about your day with everyone at once instead of explaining it over and over again.

Not that i'm complainin, mind. It's good, but it's still ironic.
