Grar. It appears that not only Friday, but the entire WEEKEND hates me. Saturday morning, I was going to leave in about an hour to see Avi, when my dad comes in with the mail. "You're not going anywhere this weekend."

Me: Um... wha?
Dad: You're grounded. You failed an assignment. *shows letter*
Me: >_<

This is a multi assignement from THREE WEEKS AGO, the letter just arrives on Saturday, at the EXACT WRONG MOMENT. I'm also banned from the computer for a week.

So basically, I have a weekend by myself with nothing but the phone and my books for company. That evening, my mum left the bath water running and flooded the entire top floor, because our bathroom was built with a faulty incline and the insurance company went broke so it hasn't been fixed yet.

Fortunately the only places that still had carpet were the insides of the closets, and the stairs. The former got stripped off and replaced with linoleum, the latter will be slightly soggy for a few days.

Sunday morning, they drag me out to the beach. By now I've learned that it's less trouble to just go than to argue. The fresh air probably did me good, and the highlight of the day was a sign which looked like it said "Anger" and a scene with some seagulls which I will refrain from describing, because you just had to be there.

Work was very tiring. A guy came up to the counter at random, pointed at an empty spot on the rack and said "Have you sold out of what was there?" I was like "... ...well, since it's... not *there* ...um, yes." I've no idea what it even was.

After work, my dad picked me up and said he'd drop off my grandma, and then dropped my brother off at my other grandma, before driving me home. Okay, that's fine. But then it turns out that "Drop off" is actually a code word for "Hang around for an hour and get blintze shoved in our mouths". We did get the local Housing Commission gossip, though.

It turns out that on Thursday the police surrounded my grandma's apartment block was surrounded by police, who then burst in and arrested fourteen drug dealers.

Yay. I feel so safe. Never ever EVER living in one of those places EVAR.
