More Mountain Goats things: Suit! Completely not breaking a sweat! In one of the related videos, This Year, you ca also see the bassist's vest but alas, cannot make out the pattern. I linked to this one because the sound quality is actually good and it's a great song. The other videos make it clear that I was right about the levels being too high on the drums - it's definitely too high for that person's camera to register quite right, ow.

Also, his FAAAACE. I think the next time they come through here there has to be a drinking game. Take a sip for every ridiculous expression he makes. Perhaps the size of the sip can correspond to to the hilarity of the face.

Dude! Went to see the Goaties here in Melbourne last night. Oh John. SO ADORABLE. With the faces and the bouncing and the utter delight. How is he so delightful? And he was wearing this totally sweet blazer with all sorts of transfers and patches and laceholes on it, but when he came out for the encore he said something along the lines of how he didn't want to take it off, because it was so fucking awesome, but he was being broiled alive. So feast your eyes one last time. And then he took it off, and yeah, he'd just about sweated his shirt through.

Peter on bass, however, was wearing his awesome suit and crazy shirt with pink cuffs and tie and a lovely vest and somehow despite all the patterns clashing slightly, it totally worked. I love him.

Mm I'd mostly listened to Get Lonely, Heretic pride and Tallahassee, though :P now I am listening to the rest (and okay, by the rest I mean TWO HUNDRED FUCKING SONGS WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY DARNIELLE!?) and Sunset Tree is pretty cool. I'm a fan of The Coroner's Gambit. And like I said whatever that new song is it totally rocks!
