Having a guitar teacher again is awesome. I can totally play the riff from Californication now! ...also like, the gypsy song and some spanish stuff, because idk not that much rock works acoustically. I should do a voice post! ...oh wait, I'm on my ubuntu laptop (because I swear, my room is cursed - THIRD PC TO MYSTERIOUSLY FAIL UPON SEEING MY FACE YOU GUYS. Gizmo for linux? ...bah, LJ doesn't support it anyway. FAIL.

Well, it's called Malaguena for the like two people to whom that might possibly mean anything, and it is pretty cool.

Umm so this online tutoring thing is working out. I actually got shifts this week! I experimented with shift length and two hours on in a row is probably the maximum. I did two on/one off/two on today and the last hour or so killed my back a little, though. Also I am losing time thanks to my shitty connection dropping out every fifteen minutes for NO REASON AT ALL, GODDAMNIT.

I'm still procrastinating like all hell and I should be in bed right now because I'm so tired. It's just my mum kept me up trying to make me watch some tedious Russian drama about the December Revolution in terrible quality and "the next bit's good, trust me. No come on you have to stay they're nearly getting to the good bit. The action's going to start ANY MINUTE NOW." while dudes in epaulets and a lady in a bonnet look at each other meaningfully in the snow and speak French dubbed over with Russian.

So I wanted to sort of de-twitch myself after twenty minutes of that. I'm going to check out Jawbreaker because Brand New did an amaaazing cover of Accident Prone that I'm singing constantly. Here is what else I've been listening to on repeat this week:

I can totally play it! It's sort of... halting at the moment. But it's recognisable! I mostly just love the ending.

I actually have no idea if my version is the full or bastardized version though :P It's like I've known a segment of this other Spanish piece for ages... I had it labelled "spanish exercise 4" and it turns out now, there's more!
