My dad bought a vastly fat jacket which I am wearing at two thirty eight in the afternoon because that is how I roll. Toasty warm but hard to move arms.

Meanwhile my inner twelve year old is giggling riotously at this: an extensive discussion of blowjobs from a linguistic perspective.

I'm trying to leave feedback on as many big bang stories as I can but I feel so awkward about it. Most of the time when I am moved to comment all I really want to say is "eee" but that's kind of useless so I try to describe things and feel inadequate. Don't even talk to me about unsolicited constructive criticism oh god.

When I leave reviews of fanfic or origfic or art or whatever I am typically just ";lkasdjf;laksjdf;lakjdsf ♥". I find that if I start trying to say "oh this thing that you did here was awesome" I just sound... ridiculous, and while keysmashing is not exactly the most intellegent of responses, at least it is honest. XD;

Yeah, I did too. But I gave up. XD;

On the upside, I don't think most people are really going to mind whether you sound awkward or articulate or incoherent or whatever, most people are just going to go "YEY I HAS A COMMENT ♥♥♥"

...or maybe that's just me.

True true but when they have a zillion comments it's kind of like. I feel unoriginal.

I mean I have gotten like twenty comments on a fic once and most of them were just "this is great!" and I was like "how do I reply when they're all identical? Do I just copy-paste a thanks? WHAT IF THEY SEEE."

I HAVE THIS PROBLEM. Then I noticed all the other authors weren't replying to every single comment and I felt kind of dumb, but I felt like I had to continue doing it because I had like, SET A PRECEDENT OR SOMETHING, and, and. Basically I am a big dork.

You could be like this one person who filled up like three comment fields with praise and quotes from the story! That would get you noticed! ...except that was a little um.

Yeah no I basically don't reply to comments unless there's a conversation happening but I FEEL REALLY BAD ABOUT IT.

lol it is the same about having the last word on comment threads. I'm like okay there is nothing more to say but... I can't just LEAVE IT HANGING.

hahaha our neuroses, they kind of lose.
