bliumchikSo all signs point to Malcolm Turnbull gaining the coveted (hah) Leadership Of The (Nominally) Liberal Party, essentially because he's not quite as big a tool as Brendon "Nine Percent" Nelson. You have to wonder how he feels about that - on the one hand, Leader of the Opposition! Highly theoretical chance at Prime Ministership! On the other hand - default is a blow to anyone's pride. "Wow. If I'd only known that all I needed to rise to such status was to only suck nearly as much as the competition..."
And that's politics.
Funny story about my rapidly launching badly-timed social life (four events on Friday, several of them mutually exclusive): At impro today Fei Fei invited me to watch Rocky Horror at Star City because she had a spare ticket thanks to a friend bailing. This was Awesome because events have conspired so that I've managed to fail to see it about twice so far. Unfortunately by the time I got out of the house I only had fortyfive minutes to get there. Then, my bus failed to show up. After waiting for fifteen minutes I realised there was no way I'd get there in time, gave up, rang F and went home. So... that was pretty lame. Foiled again! By public transport.
I'm writing a lot of semi-connected poetry/lyrics lately. I add the slash because most of it has shown up without music but with a rhythm such that I could fit them to music. But they're quite fragmented thus far. I think they'll coalesce into at least five different songs... or poems... or whatever. One is hilariously MCR-ish, and if in song-form should make room for shouting FUCK VAMPIRES really loudly at some point. IDK my brain.
