So my parents are getting me Panic tickets for my birthday. Only I've never been to a proper concert before and I can't decide if I should get standing or seated tickets. Cos on the one hand I want a good view, but on the other hand I don't really dance and my feet will undoubtedly not thank me for it.

I asked Megahal, but he just said "I would rather stay to watch them devour each other whole lay waste give
birth a new world, but it does not diminish its severity. Case in point:
the love of an eagle for the suck of it's life on tomorrow, sticky and
warm, yet not yellow like the sun, but the neck stretches so high they do
it, when they want it, what they get from it. Not really seeing what the
main purpose is, but doing it nonetheless. It's serious business, they
say, but they won't tell you; they only laugh seated in couches of mold."

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Fucking stoner. Lay off the crack so I can use you as a magic 8 ball, you stupid AI!

Does anyone know if the seated or standing tickets are closer to the stage, anyway? I don't mean the mosh pit... they have three categories, the "panic pit" (ha), reserved seating and something called "rear standing" which sounds sort of like it might be behind the seats...? I'm so confused :P

If you don't want to be in the mosh pit, then I'd say try to get seated tickets.

We saw Panic a couple of summers ago and they were great. They put on a great show.

Rear standing should be between the pit and the seats, and will probably be cheap. The seats will mostly be further away, but elevated, tiered and assigned.

What's the venue?

Acer Arena. Yeah, that's what I thought, too. It's the same price for standing or sitting, only the mosh pit's more expensive.

Hokay, so.
Usually they have what's called "floor 1" and "floor 2", and floor 2 is usually a LOT less hardcore/squishy/full of sweaty guys. Being up the front of the mosh is hectic, I've only ever managed to stay up the front the whole time once. =( Floor 2 would be your "rear standing", between the "panic pit" and the rear seating. I think Acer has horseshoe-shaped seating so you may end up being close to the front with seating rather than standing...
That said, Acer arena is huuuuuge, so seats could be very very far away... but so could floor 2. My advice is to go look up the seating plan (they should have them published on either the venue website or the ticket company's website) and check out where the best seats are.
