(no subject)
Mar. 28th, 2008 04:38 pmWell that was not my best day ever. I procrastinated the evening away before starting the assignment and realising the subject outline requested the book to be from UTS library (this is a "bibliographical exercise") so I went to sleep and did the thing this morning. Unfortunately another thing that happened yesterday was my dad taking my student card in order to go to the bank and fix something or other with my account - he set it up as a trust or something when i was fifteen so it's all fucked now that I'm eighteen and I can't do anything with it. Anyway, problem is that my student card is how I get into the library. WHOOPS. Fortunately I was able to get in on a day pass and write the review in a couple of hours, but then it turned out that without a card I couldn't PRINT anything, so I had to trek over to find a photocopy/printing store. Give or take a bit of running back and forth as I realised I'd accidentally saved my assignment on a hard drive at the library instead of my flash drive. Then I took a fast food detour and got into my lecture about fifteen minutes late, which required me to vault over the seats in the back because no aisle seats were left and it was the least conspicuous way to get to the middle of the row.
In related news, my Friday tutor remains the dullest person I know. Her voice literally does have only one tone. The class is punctuated by little blank silences as everyone stares at her and tries to work out what the hell she's trying to ask us. Thank god for "group discussion" - I'd never survive a lecture from her.
EDIT: Dual Bandom and Neil Gaiman fans the world over must have spontaneously exploded today when Neil casually mentioned in his journal that he was in a band in his youth. I wonder what he played? CAN HAS AU TIEM NAU?
