Also I should perhaps link more easily discussible posts here for discussion. Because that one just netted me some pats on the back for being reasonable, which is all very well and good but I sort of felt like a bit of a rousing debate type thing. Except then it occurred to me that if I want one of those I'm better off NOT sending people off to read something that will make them go "O.o" - oops!

No, really, another of my f-list stumbled upon that little nugget of...er, insight and the response was about equal, but with added notes that the woman Clearly Has Issues and maybe is not the best arbiter of feminism in her current state of mind. That was accidental consensus because the rest of us aren't quite that damaged. Yet.
