"Amorphous" is a really fantastic word, as is "viscous." Though I do confess to not wanting to taunt emus, as ours were always somewhat ornery, and our first attempt with rheas kinda fell apart at the seams with only one being corralled successfully, one not surviving (heart attack after extensive pursuit, we imagine), and two being gone for two and six weeks respectively before wandering home on their own....

Next to rheas, emus were darling, and ostriches were a breeze.

The family still does. Incubates the eggs, plays with the ostriches and emus (I think the rheas are all gone now). And all variety of smaller birds and various and sundry mammals. Peacocks can be cranky.

Though personally, I chalk it up to the idea that my sister is, well, insane.
