Outranted, just showing support in brief
Jan. 23rd, 2008 03:37 pmI really don't write much about political issues, so I'm just going to give you guys a link which is much better than anything I'd write, anyway. Seriously, read it.
Abortion laws in Australia, incidentally.
PS: Something completely different: Rabbit Hole Day, who's with us?
Oh, and Heath Ledger. It's kind of surreal, not the one you'd expect.

This (http://www.childrenbychoice.org.au/nwww/auslawprac.htm) doesn't give a date, but is from at least 2002. It comes with a summary (http://www.childrenbychoice.org.au/nwww/auslawsum.htm), but it's not dated either.
This Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_in_Australia) does mention the Victorian decriminalisation bill, though (as always) you'll need to check sources to see how reliable the information is.
Most of the other actual information is variations on that theme; this page (http://annualreview.law.harvard.edu/population/abortion/abortionlaws.htm) has copies of the actual text of the relevant acts, but that's about it.
