More Fun With Sticks today. I gave in and looked up stick fighting on wikipedia and google.au, but only came up with this because all the various stick fighting schools are apparently based in Melbourne and Perth. Perth, I ask you! Anyway, might do a class or two to see what it's like.

Guess what, guys? Yaoi is going mainstream. I had a very surreal experience in the library today (the YA section, no less). The title "Zowie, It's Yaoi!" caught my eye. Not manga. Prose. I flipped open the book and what should immediately catch my eye but the phrase "his royal cock." Naturally I burst out laughing and had to be shushed by librarians.

The YA graphic novel section of my local libraries is suddenly full of shonen-ai. I'm not sure if this is a good or a bad thing, considering that it's right next to the little kids' sections in at least two branch libraries, and if a 'speshul snowflake' parent gets hold of them, there could be trouble....

On the upside, it's shonen-ai!
