Relapsing.... now!
Feb. 23rd, 2005 10:32 amArgh, it came back. Again. This time it had absolutely NO excuse, i haven't been doing sport, I haven't been at work since sunday, but NOO it just HAS to go and prove its UTTER RANDOMNESS!!
It started hurting around 8, and quickly escalated to omgowowowow, so I've spent the past two hours sitting on the couch alternating between moaning in pain, vomiting in a bucket, clutching an icepack and reading Russian poetry.
It's stopped now, but that's probably just the painkillers finally doing their job, and my mum says not to go to school anyway in case it comes back. Well, no objections there :P
Vladimir Vysotsky is much coolness. Korabli and On Ne Vernulsya Iz Boya are the most beautiful poems ever. I've also learned an interesting new fact about the soviet union. See, what they have is - a little cardboard foldup, into which fit cards. So you buy the foldup and then you collect the cards one by one - these cards have a photo of the poet on one side and a poem and/or info about his life on the other. My dad has a booklet of VV and one of Boris Pasternak, and possibly a couple of others. It seems to have been a popular pastime that didn't only apply to poets, because my mum has one of cats. I guess it's like people here with those ring binders and the demi-magazines you subscribe to to fill the binder up.
Speaking of poetry, I've written another song. I think it's an improvement on the others, in that it doesn't require a complex chord structure and it doens't have bits where you just go uh... what? It also actually sounds good, and it's differnt from my previous ones in that it actually is true to life, but you wouldn't know it just by looking.
And I'm not going to post it here or on deviantart cos it's a thing you need to hear.
...well, no, actually it's because I haven't typed it up yet, and my notebook is upstairs. I might post it at some point.

...I'd show my appreciation for your poetry cards, but unfortunately I can't speak russian, so I doubt they'd make any sense to me. Oh well.
