abattoir tea parties: Um. This is one of those interests that seemed like a good idea at the time. It probably stemmed from one of those bizarre late night comment threads that get weird, but I'm buggered if I can remember which.
old british navy uniforms: One word - Hornblower. Ioan Gruffud in a navy coat and tricorner hat is simply meltworthy. I hear there might be a movie! Still just a rumour but eee.
post-apocalyptic survival scenarios: They're just, you know. Fun. This was always my favourite fantasy, ever since I was a kid. Back then it was floods, these days it's zombie hordes (see below).
really creepy poetry: I love it. Both reading it and writing it. Why on earth wouldn't you?
the perks of socialism: Are sundry and glorious. Truth, Justice, freedom, Reasonably Priced Love, And A Hard Boiled Egg.
transmetropolitan: An excellent sciffy comic about journalism, politics and utter bastards, written by Warren Ellis. I think the first issue is legitimately free online somewhere, but take my word that it is awesome.
zombie contingency plans: This interest serves a dual purpose. The first: A short story by the glorious Kelly Link (you can read her stuff here). It made me shiver, and then squee. The second: One day I picked up the Zombie Survival Guide for five bucks in a damaged goods sale. I immediately began planning my actions in the event of a zombie apocalypse, and find it a comfort and boredom relief in queues and on buses. I started a whole big plan for my school, but as I've not gotten round to it and school is over (FOREVAR) I suppose I'll just get on with the one for my house and the Big One (see post-apocalyptic...).
Comment and I'll pick seven interests for you to explain on your journal.
Also, read this little article, it's hilarious.

Okay, I'm not even going to comment on that one. *is worried now*
Similar thoughts on the article, though the line "We believe that Iranians will like any group of Americans that doesn't try to kill them." was quite amusing. :)
Lol, hands-off policy indeed. *snickers*
