Okay, LJ is doing it again, it appears.

I doubt I'll bother with backups et al, because I don't write/draw anything that could conceivably get me banned, but given the mass migration I suppose I'll have to spend more time on Insanejournal to keep up with people who've left. This is really incredibly inconvenient.

Added, not that I actually have anything on there yet. And now I feel like I've horcruxed myself across several Greater/Dead/Insane/QuantumJournals. Part of me wants to go hunt down other LJ-installations just to get to a round number....

And backing up still might not be a bad idea. LJArchive (http://fawx.com/software/ljarchive/) makes it dead simple, and it's good to have a copy on your hard drive, just in case. (Plus there are services which will print it and bind it, in a book! Embarrass future generations! Or even present ones!)
