Today my umbrella was solicited by a somewhat inebriated bloke at Maroubra beach. My family had gone to dinner at the local RSL and it was bucketing like, well, buckets. Seriously if actual people had to carry all those buckets of water we would not have an unemployment problem, and neither would Belgium and Canada. The horizontal windspray, I thought, was a particularly nice touch. Anyway, it clearly wasn't going to let up in the forseable future, so we made the run to the car with our brollies. As my dad was trying to grab mum's umbrella so she could get in the car and she was completely failing to get what he was doing and hanging on to it, a drenched fellow with an open bottle of beer wandered up and mumbled "cn'buyyrmbrella?" to which my dad responded: *blink* ...no, sorry.

Later we wondered if you really care abvoutgetting rained on when you're smashed, but I had a brainwave and realised that he was clearly worried about the rain diluting his beer.

It's still raining ^_^ and my icon would like to introduce you to explodescow's cousin: cowsicle. Thank you woodburner for the meaty googleimages results XD
