Damnit. You say to yourself, "I'm just going to quickly check my flist and then do maths." You really do. And then some cheery bastard goes and posts a wikipedia link, or maybe thee or five, and before you know it, it's eleven. Grr. Arg.

Fine. I'm going to be that bastard. It's just too good to resist.

Firstly, for the Discworld fans, one origin of Jingo can be found here, in the form of an island that periodically rises out of the ocean, is argued over by the French, Spanish and Italians, and then sinks again.

The page on Fucking, Austria is an official monitor hazard, please put down your drink before you click because the photo presents itself rather immediately. Fans may also enjoy the article on street sign theft and a handy list to name your humorous fictional streets from. I particularly enjoyed Wank, Bavaria (the cable car up the mountain is called the wankbahn, I can't make this shit up); Accident; Boring; Dildo; two separate towns called Egg and three called Hell; and Lost, Scotland (I want to go to Scotland now just to phone somebody from there).

In other place names, this New Zealand hill is a bit much. I'm also partial to a lamppost named Reality Checkpoint, which is just surreal enough to make me squee.

ambient_hermes will be greatly amused by the Forest Swastika, which the entire population of Germany has failed to notice since world war two ended.

Mathematical Jokes will only be of interest to Stan and my maths teacher, who does not read this blog (I hope). Another teacher who does not read this blog is my history teacher, who probably already knows that some dude decided a few hundred years never happened .
