Whoah. I got unfriended. By five people on the same day. Is it the ocelots? The lesbian subtext? The political rant? Or am I just boring?

I'd like to know, because I was actually going to post another political rant. I mean, it's probably not neccessary anyway, given the high level of people on the internet who are already going "what the fuck, america?" without my help.

I was just thinking that my history teacher is fond of the saying "The revolution eats her children". My parents went to a Russian film festival and came back nostalgic, so I got family history, much of which was about people disappearing under mysterious circumstances. Often said people posed no particular threat to the government, and in fact had been involved in the mysterious disappearance of other people right up till the end. There's no such thing as "safe" when someone has that level of power.

So I'm feeling prophetic, and I'd venture a guess that revolutions aren't the only things that eat their children.

(PS: but I'm not that upset about the defriending because... I don't know these people and three people friended me today too. So on balance, meh, I guess.)

Defriendings seem to come in bunches. I got defriended by 4 people at once the other day, it was weird! I wasn't too worried about it, but I did have a 'wtf, did I offend?' moment like you did. *L*

How come you have a big list, even of days when nothing happened, and I only have one day?

It only checks the days where you go and make it run the script. Which may or may not help you, since it didn't list other days in your full listing.

Nonetheless, I've also been defriended by four people at once. It's interesting when it happens, but it's usually just a kind of lurker changing of the guard.

Ah, that makes sense. I have checked once before, but it said something about needing 24 hours to update its databases or... you know, something.

Yeah, I think I got defriended by a few people after my month-and-a-half-long absence, but you know, so it goes. I don't stress over it.

And your political rants are good things. I enjoy them when they come.

They're all people I friended ages ago for various reasons which are now defunct, and most are no longer on my flist anyway. September 30th is a good day for flist cleanup?
