Whoah. I got unfriended. By five people on the same day. Is it the ocelots? The lesbian subtext? The political rant? Or am I just boring?
I'd like to know, because I was actually going to post another political rant. I mean, it's probably not neccessary anyway, given the high level of people on the internet who are already going "what the fuck, america?" without my help.
I was just thinking that my history teacher is fond of the saying "The revolution eats her children". My parents went to a Russian film festival and came back nostalgic, so I got family history, much of which was about people disappearing under mysterious circumstances. Often said people posed no particular threat to the government, and in fact had been involved in the mysterious disappearance of other people right up till the end. There's no such thing as "safe" when someone has that level of power.
So I'm feeling prophetic, and I'd venture a guess that revolutions aren't the only things that eat their children.
(PS: but I'm not that upset about the defriending because... I don't know these people and three people friended me today too. So on balance, meh, I guess.)
