I watched Pirates 2 yesterday with Avi. I know some people have been saying bad things about it and a lot of them are right, but I can forgive anything for something that funny.

I mean, the entire scene on the island with the chest was just side-splitting. I especcially loved the expression on their faces when the wheel came rolling through. For the Discworld fans, it reminds me of that scene in one of the early Rincewind books: "...did you just see two men upside down on a broomstick come flying through here, yelling and screaming at each other?" "...no?" "Okay. Good. Neither did I." Elizabeth was just like "..." - and speaking of Elizabeth, did she not look absolutely awesome in the sailor outfit?! I mean, maybe it's just my hat fixation talking, but whoah.

Stan: That girl has issues.
Me: She can have issues with me any time- I mean yeah, issues.

Also, Norrington! Hee! Norrington was delightful. And the three of them fighting over the chest (and the right to Lizzie-subtext) while she raves at them. Bwahahaha. Menage a... er, lots, anyone?

Did anyone notice that they changed a scene that was in the trailers? It's the bit on the cannibal island, you know:

Will: We have to wait for Jack!
Jack: *comes running towards them followed bby herd of screaming canibals*
Will: ...nevermind, lets go.

In the movie he just said "...time to go." Which wasn't as funny.

Oh, and the whole opening scene was just ...what the?

In conclusion - look! An undead monkey.

Other news: My cordless phone mysteriously went missing for two days. It turned out grandma had left it outside. So now I have a slightly damp phone, which will hopefully not electrocute me.
