Dec. 23rd, 2004 02:10 pm1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Parties with alcohol, n stuff. That was new. So was getting a job.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't remember. I doubt that I kept them even if I did. I'm not going to make any this year - you should do what you need to do because you need to do it, not because an arbitrary time of year comes round again.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, that all happened last year.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
My great grandma's little sister - but she lived in America and I only met her once.
5. What countries did you visit?
Australia. And the inside of my head, which sometimes counts.
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
Less laziness and more organisation. Have to start writing things down.
7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory?
Dates? Dates are NEVER etched. Dates are written faintly in pencil, and then have ribena spilled on them.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting a job. Painfully big achievement. Well, or just painful.
9. What was your biggest failure?
My complete and utter failure to organise at least half of the things I meant to.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nyup. I haven't broken a thing in my life. I just keep getting colds.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Me? Buy stuff? That's a damn short list to choose from. I suppose I'll have to say the radiohead CD... or maybe my new jeans... although technically my dad bought those...
12. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
O_o ... o_O ...er... stuff?
13. What song will always remind you of 2004?:
Evermore, It's Too Late. But it won't actually remind me of 2004. Just is a cool 2004 song.
14. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder?
Happier
b) thinner or fatter?
blah, sif I can be bothered keeping track.
c) richer or poorer?
richer... work is useful in some ways :D
15. How will you be spending christmas?
Meh... whatever happens. I'm not organised enough to know in advance.
16. Did you fall in love in 2004?
No.
17. What was the best book you read?
Incompetence, by Rob Grant. The funniest thing EVER.
18. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Sugarcult and Brand New. Thank you Stan and Avi.
19. What was your favourite film of this year?
A Cinderella Story. Mainly because I don't actually remember half the things I saw.
20. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
15. Had a very very disorganised party at Maroubra Beach to which about 4 people came due to short notice issues.
21. What political issue stirred you the most?
abortion or gay marriage... one of them things. Damn American politics.
22. Who did you miss?
Um... *shrug*
23. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
Irrational fear goes away if you ignore it long enough. Pretend to smile and some time you'll realise you're smiling for real.
