Also, I had a dream. But i can't remember anything, except that there were librarians in it. I was in Bowen library, and the fiction section had been replaced by shelves and shelves of yellow pages, and the children's section was in a circus tent. And I was like "You've replaced the children's books with-" and the librarian was like "Yes."

That's... different. What were the children's books replaced with, under the tent?

Oh, they were still there. I think I was referring to the adult fiction section, which had been replaced by the aforementioned yellow pages.

Oh, ok. Well, I suppose that'd make cataloguing easier. And acquisitions. And shelving.

Well, I guess some people do read phone books for fun. Hey, there are some funny names out there!

That there are. And if all else fails, it sounds like they still had their reference collection.

Ah, references. But do you know, they have not a single book containing a topographical map of Sydney. I don't know whether to be annoyed that I have to trek out to the map shop or proud that I stumped a librarian.

Um, proud. Also, they should be able to - at the very least - get you a topographic map of Sydney by interlibrary loan.

Failing that, go and visit the State Library, for it's inconceivable that their map collection wouldn't have Sydney.

Well, ye-es, but if I'm going all the way to the city anyway I may as well just go to the bloody map shop.

Alas, this is true. I shall try the state library first then.
