Look, I mean no offence of any kind. Really, I don't. Many of the things you have posted here are actually quite amusing, but this one...

I hope I'm not coming off as a spoilsport or anything. I can appreciate a good joke, especially on April's Fools Day. However, now I have to say that I disapprove of this.

No matter how you say it, some things just aren't meant to joke about. Not even if everybody knows it's a joke. Please, try to understand that I'm not trying to offend you, but this does not show anything but bad taste or perhaps horrible inconsideration. Yes, I know you're making fun of the wanna-be teenangsters. Yes, I know you mean it as a joke. Yes, I even know that a cut like that can't kill anyone.

Still, suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts are something one should never joke about. No matter how you approach them, they are a serious matter. To some people it really means the difference between life and death. Please, think twice before you do something like this again.

Frankly I could counter that with the argument that people who really are suicidal are probably just as contemptuous of the wannabemos as anyone else, just like gay people tend to get pissed off at bicurious people.

Then again, that's not likely to be universal. I'd say both our points of view apply, and probably about equally, too.
