So it was VD yesterday. Insert STD joke here. I think it's a funny but telling thing about human nature that even the people who are all like RAR VALENTINES DAY IS COMMERCIAL BULLCRAP still feel happy when somebody sends them a flower. Don't give up romance for feminism, guys. My problem with V Day is that it kind of takes all the romance out of it if all the flowers happen on one arbitrarily proscribed day a year. But you don't have to let the commercialisation get to you. For example, Stan showed up at our bus stop to surprise Jess, which I thought was really sweet. Also, single people plz to stop bitching and moaning. Having a boyfriend on V Day isn't like some magic potion that cures all your woes. That's called sugar and kittens. Well, and ducks, but any problem can be solved by duck.

In other news, Monday provided an amusing bus episode in which I was forced to assume the role of Grammar Police and arrest Jenny for a Pronounciation Misdemeanor. She resisted arrest quite wordily, and the waahmbulance had to be called. In the ensuing melee, Shelly was set on hysterics and had to be put out by the Firemen of Pokeage, present in the form of the other Jenny.

Oops, recess is over. I was going to squee about Supernatural and giggle at Hornblower, but that will have to await lunchtime.

Prescribed. Proscribed is a fancy word for 'banned'. It'd be interesting if all the flowers and kisses and suchlike were banned for one day.
