The Russian jokes link was rather interesting. It's always interesting to see how different cultures affect humor, and how some jokes translate very easily.

Yeah, but I'm used to hearing them from the other side, so it's a bit of a mind-fuck.

I demand you tell!

And by 'demand', I mean 'politely request'.

Hm, okay, so this Chukcha (if you've read the article I guess you know what that is) comes home to his hut and says "Wife! What's Chukcha want?!" His wife thinks, well, he must want to take off his coat, so she takes off his coat.

Again, he says "Wife! What does Chukcha want?" And she thinks he must be hungry, so she takes him to the kitchen and gives him his dinner.

After dinner he says "Wife! What does Chukcha want?" And by now she's a little pissed off so she rolls her eyes, and takes him to the bedroom and puts him to bed.

Then in the middle of the night she hears, again: "Wife! What does Chukcha want?"

She finally loses her temper and yells "I DON'T KNOW! WHAT?"

And he replies: "Chukcha wants to take his skis off!"

I remember being little and always bugging my dad and my uncle: "Razkazhy anekdot! Razkazhy anekdot!!!" - they kept running out of them :P

My powers of linguistic guessing tell me that means 'tell me a story' or, adjusted for littleness, 'tell meee a stowy!!!'

Well, tell me a joke, really. I got into Back In Soviet Russia stories somewhat later.
