Dear Ms Bloome,

It has come to my attention that you recently recieved correspondance from my sister, River Tam.

I'm sure I don't need to explain to you the delicacy of our position, or the risk I'm taking in writing you. As I'm sure you are aware, River is an extraordinary girl and her perceptions are, to say the least, unique. In addition, she has recently been through a number of extremely physically and emotionally traumatic experiences which make her vulnerable in ways you cannot comprehend. I am unable to determine exactly what message she was trying to convey to you, and she refuses to discuss the matter with me.

Who are you, Ms Bloome, and why is my sister trying to talk to you? Why is she reluctant to discuss the matter? She does not seem afraid of you or angry at you, and as I trust her judgement and respect her wishes, I will not try to locate you, nor will I mention this incident to the captain or any member of the crew.

In return, I ask that you never again contact my sister or myself, unless it is a matter of life or death. If you do not comply with this request, I will see to it that it becomes a matter of your death, Ms Bloome.
