This is a meme, this is a meme, lalala meme, meme!

1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before? -- A steady boyfriend. My, how time flies...

2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions and will you make more for next year? -- Pssssh. I'm realistic XP

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? -- No, but Stan's sister and Liza's brother both had kids. It'll be fun comparing their lives, especially since one is growing up in an orthodox Jewish home and the other in a more-or-less fundamentalist Christian home.

4. Did anyone close to you die? -- My great grandmother's sister... not really close, but family.

5. What countries did you visit? -- Um. Not counting the ones in my head? None.

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005? -- organisational skillz.

7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? -- I don't remember dates, really I don't.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? -- A High Distinction in a history competition I more or less slept through.

9. What was your biggest failure? -- NaNoWriMo. Nuff said.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? -- Ye-es, ovarian cysts owwww. Wow, I can't believe that was this year... it seems so long ago. Also, a nice three day chat with Delirium, who has nice butterflies. Stupid fevers.

11. What was the best thing you bought? -- I don't buy things, I really don't.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration? -- Masha. My god how that girl's cleaned up. I'm proud of her, for all that I don't see her often enough or indeed at all.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? -- Mine?

14. Where did most of your money go? -- Fast food and movies.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? -- We-ell. Mostly ideas. Avi. The Australian Discworld Convention, awhich I found out about this year.

16. What song will always remind you of 2005? -- Crazy fucking bitch Frog.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a. Happier or sadder? -- happier. So much happier it's not funny. But that answer has been the same since year seven and will continue to be the same for a few years yet, because there's nowhere to go but up.
b. Thinner or fatter? -- Somethingorother. Thinner, all the hair I cut off must'v weighed a ton XP
c. Richer or poorer? -- Richer. Ah, the joys of work.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? -- Writing. Drawing. Taking chances.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? -- Procrastination. Worrying. O_O ohmygod my first answers to these two are exactly the same as [livejournal.com profile] djcati...

20. How will you be spending Christmas? -- Cold showers, I think.

21. Did you fall in love in 2005? -- They say hindsight is twenty twenty. Ask me when I'm twenty and I'll tell you for certain.

22. 22? WTF? -- I left this in cause it amused me. *grin*

23. How many one-night stands? -- None.

24. What was your favourite TV program? -- Firefly. Not that i ever watched it on TV. Otherwise Glasshouse.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? -- Nah.

26. What was the best book you read? -- Next Of Kin, I forget the author's name but it was hilarious. Oooh, wait, can I count Sandman as a book? Because that was SO FUCKING AWESOME.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? -- Thrice? Breaking Benjamin? My Chemical Romance? Panic at the Disco!

28. What did you want and get? -- *smirk*

29. What did you want and not get? -- School camp.

30. What was your favourite film of this year? -- I can't decide between Night Watch and Serenity. I'll have to go with the latter because I don't enjoy horror so much. On the other hand, I haven't seen Brothers Grimm or Harry Potter yet. But I doubt they'll be better than Serenity.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? -- Sixteen, and I had a beach gathering to which everyone was the laziest possible about turning up. I got a tire. XD

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? -- I think a snowplough in my head would have been nice.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005? -- If there's nothing that matches, wear something that doesn't match!

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? -- Still Ioan Gryffud. As long as they have to be real... *sigh*

36. What political issue stirred you the most? -- America. America is just one big damn political issue.

37. Who did you miss? -- Masha.

38. Who was the best new person you met? -- Alyssa and Luke of NIDA Ensemble. *waves leetle flag*

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005. -- Just because it's in your head doesn't mean it isn't real.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year. -- "Passive aggressive bullshit... passive aggressive bullshit..." that's not a song lyric, that's three words repeated ad infinum. Let's go with "I can feel you breathing, and it's keeping, me awake..."
