Spent today and yesterday catching up on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. What's this? Jon Stewart writing AU!President!Kerry/AU!President!H.Clinton fanfiction? Hee. I love those guys. Uh, Stewart and Colbert, that is, not Kerry and Clinton. Possibly I would put Colbert ahead of Stewart because I adore irony, and the Report could be ground up and measured into a lifetime supply of irony supplement pills. But Stewart is so adorable! I am struck by their contrasting talents - Colbert is really good at being ~Himself, and Stewart is really good at being other people. Stewart's many impressions are brief but hilarious, Colbert's one is sustained and... well, also hilarious. Although it is a little awkward when Stephen's guests are not quite sure whether they're in on the joke or not.
