This Okean Eljzi song is saying "get up sweetie" but the Ukrainian word for sweetie sounds like the Russian word for soap. Ah the joy of Мягкий знак. It's not quite as good as Chinese inflections but when you involve two or more slavic languages it's pretty damn odd.

I have converted snarkaddict to the joys of The Matches via yousendit, and the file is staying up for a few more days so I think I will do some more evangelising. My favourite Matches songs except for The Restless and Audio Blood which I forgot because they were in a different folder. *looks sheepish*

I discovered The Matches last year thanks to Triple J and they are fabulous indeed. Right now however I am obsessing over The Wombats. English band + Australian marsupial = win!
