Formal today! I'm sitting here with my hair in curlers wondering if black nail polish was a good idea. Yes, it's glittery, so it should match, but maybe it's a little too gothic for a semi-formal.

Also we have yet to be informed whether there will be food. So I may or may not collapse.

More probably "may" actually, considering that it's on a boat, and I'm not the happiest camper on the dance floor in any situation, let alone one where the floor itself is moving.

Have I mentioned it's on a boat? Why is it on a boat? Is there a secret conspiracy to unleash a horde of zombies on sydney harbour, and they want a crowd of well-dressed young ladies for the news reporters to interview the next morning?

Or am I perhaps high on nail polish fumes?

ahahaha IT'S ALIIIVE uh. Well, I mean, it's curly, at least. It kind of works. Note to self - next time, check hair is ENTIRELY DRY before removing curlers labelled "leave in until hair is entirely dry".

Waugh my contacts are awkward. My mother, who insists on coming in the car to take pics, is running around the house in her underwear, despite the fact that my dad will be here in FIVE MINUTES.
