Work was really tiring on Saturday, I felt like I was coming down with something (and apparantly looked it too, since Olga was being all sympathetic and giving me easy jobs). But it seems I am not. So that was odd.

I haven't written for ages and I had a fair busy weekend, so I'm going to be annoying and insert detailed descriptions of everything. Starting with the only amusing incident I can remember from work, a couple of guys bickering like an old married couple.

So these two dark haired, olive skinned beauties approach the counter - one tall and long-haired with Cheekbones, the other short and slender with a rectangular face and a crew-cut (Here my memory fails me as I'm sure at least one of them was in some kind of uniform). The dialogue went something like this:

TB: *asks for cheese n bacon roll*
Me: *fetches roll*
SB: *points at savoury bites* get one of these!
TB: Okay, okay. And a savoury bite.
Me: *fetches savoury bite*
SB: Say thank you!
TB: Thanks *hands me coins*
SB: You're giving her dirty money, you should have washed your hands!
Me: What are you, his mother?
TB: *grins* It's just ink, I swear! *shows me his hands*

We also (saturday AND sunday) got several people asking for something like "chia bent". According to Thomas we don't make these. Well NO, I didn't know that?! He refrained from explaining exactly what it was.

After work I went straight to Alex's. Stan had HBP but no major spoilers occurred (on pain of earlobe-loss). Somebody had a funky sailors hat, which got passed around - Pavel looked so much like Andrei Meronov in Prekluchenya Italiantsov V Rossiye, whereas Stan just looked seedy. I accidentally drank lime syrup because it was dark and I couldn't read the label on the bottle properly. Later I diluted it in vodka, but that ran out shortly afterwards.

Jess brought a Habo random. Alex produced potatoes, which we wrapped in foil and placed in the "bonfire" which was really just a bin with somne sticks in it. Yes, the sticks were on fire. It was kind of weak and flickery. But all you really need to cook potatoes is ashes and coal. Sadly the foil came off mine, so the outside was all black and charcoaly. Due to the dark, Stan didn't notice this until he'd bitten into it, which was amusing. I took it inside, cut it open, put it in a cup and ate it with a spoon. Yes I am innovative. There was a bit of a guitar-off by the camp-fire, and some loud and bad singing - I feel for Lex's neighbors. Then the smoke started to hurt my eyes. Everyone eventually went inside, except Anna and some guy I didn't know called Daniel, who were being sus and lying on the trampoline together in the dark.

There were a lot of randoms there, actually. I spent some time chatting with Emma, who claimed to be very excited about the Russianness and quite comfortable with her ridiculous amount of cleavage. Pavel was very impressed with my UBE/\ hat. Discussion with Stan, Jess and Adam (the habo random, whom I vaguely remember meeting before) came to the conclusion that glasses make people faithful. Jess was wearing a funky jacket and a tie. I wrestled Li Sang for that contraption with which one picks up turtles, and lost. Adam intended to use it to get the potatos out of the fire, but we decided it would, being plastic, melt. So I don't know how other people did, but I got mine by poking a stick through it, which also conveniently ascertained that it was in fact ready. I had an argument with my dad over other people's mobiles (since mine was being a bitch) and ended up getting picked up by him at eleven twenty when he realised that Adam's lift would only get me to Kingsford, because OH NOES MAROUBRA IS TEH SCARREY AT NIGHT!!!1!!11! Although, Adam's sister and ride home had not in fact shown up by the time my dad did, so maybe that was a good thing, even though it meant I had to leave before midnight. Actually, that may also have been a good thing, since I had work at ten the next day.

Of course I woke up at nine thirty. And my uniform was wet, because after taking a shower at Alex's I ingeniously wrapped it in my wet towel. So my mum slooooowly irned it, I had breakfast at the speed of light, and my dad drove me to work. I arrived about ten minutes late and hence had to stay ten minutes late. A ridiculous amount of people pointed at the counter and wanted the second one from the front, which was really annoying. COME ON PEOPLE. They are ALL THE SAME. They were in the same batch, alright? They came out of the oven together! there's no difference! None! I swear! We're not being tricky and mixing them up so the "bad" ones are in with the good ones and you might get onee you don't like by accident! Sheesh!

This program is interrupted for a Random Announcement. Somebody just linked my to a community called odd_sex. I am debating as to whether or not I want to know. We now return you to your scheduled programming.

I went home after work giving much thanks to my mother's coat, which she gave me as I ran out the door cos my uniform was still damp - it is SUCH A COOL COAT and warm and the hood covers my entire face. Anyway, I went home and showered and got dressed for my mum's birthday really quickly (for me) and then it turned out I STILL had no time to get to central to meet Avi on route. I tried to call him, but my mum was on the phone, for like half an hour - I ended up digging up HER mobile. So anyway, avi said he'd call me later. We got to the Romance restaurant around five (about half an hour late) and then another half hour before half the party arrived, during which it was impolite to start eating, which sucked cos I was hungry. Finally everyone arrived, and little fiddly dishes were had by all. The olivie inexplicably had peas in it. The hot food didn't come out till like seven thirty. Meanwhile I polished off half a bottle of non-al - the only alcoholic wines that were open tasted like shit and my grandad wouldn't let me near the vodka, which is a pity cos Tambovski Lupus Tebe Amicus Est :P

Actually I did get some vodka in my tea during dessert (which was fruit and bad cake) - it tasted quite good, and amused my uncle. Then grandad got worried and removed the bottle under the guise of photography. I mean seriously, so the bottle has a muzzle. LIEK OMG WE MUST TAKE PICTURES COS WERE COOL AND SHIT!1!!one!11! The whole evening moved sooo slowly and Avi didn't end up calling me. I spent most of the time between fiddly dishes and hot food making a moveable giraffe bash it's head against the table while leaning on a random plushie elephant, which was ridiculously soft. The band was as per usual for Russian restaurants - bad and really really loud. The guy sang Pust Begut Ne-ucluzhiy (a childrens birthday song) in the normal restaurant style - ie really raspy and sounding slightly drunk. My dad quipped "Chiburashka apyat perepul" - he seemed to find it extremely amusing. "One Way Ticket To The Noose" got butchered by a woman in a bathrobe who danced like a robot. Everything was deafening, i don't know how the kids playing near the dancefloor (right next to the speakers) didn't go deaf. It was such a waste of amp.

I had an in depth discussion of livejournal with my uncle Dima, and Vova tried to amuse me with oooold riddles involving mexicans on bicycles. As we were about to leave (YAY) a random old guy from a different party (in a state of some intoxication) came up to me and suggested I dance, claiming I had especially asked for a slow song. I politely informed him he must be mistaking me for someone else.

That whole evening was ENTIRELY too long. Just like this entry.
