So apparantly America went Democrat like snow on a mountain-top goes downhill. This does not surprise me. I'm pretty sure at this point the Republicans have pissed everybody off enough that they'd vote for a blind goat if it didn't like George Bush.

I guess we can all stop holding our breath waiting for America to get taken over by a totalitarian fundamentalist theocracy. Still, it'll make good sci-fi in about fifty years when Alternate History comes back into fashion.
