ASC course at Sydney Uni today. It was interesting, and I discovered the procedure for borrowing a labcoat from the chemistry warren.

When I got home my mum dragged me to a pilates class. It wasn't as terrible as eg the yoga at school. And most of the excercises were painful, so I should probably start attending regularly. On the walk back I had an extremely typical conversation with my mother.

Mum: The instructor is very good, she attended this conference, you know she has a son and she took him out cycling and... *babbles*
Me: She has eyes like a fish.
Mum: Maybe it's - you know she's from South Africa.
Me: ...well I know, I heard the accent, but I don't think that's the reason. I think it's genetic.
Mum: Alright... but how did it come up in conversation?
Me: What?
Mum: The fish.
Me: Well you were talking about her and that was my observation.
Mum: No I mean in your conversation with her.
Me: Well I didn't tell her! She just looks like it...
Mum: But how did you know she has a fish called Isaac?
Me: ...
